Headington Artweeks at the Bank

Over the next few months artists from Headington and Marston Artweeks will be giving previews of their work at venues around Headington and Marston.  On Monday 24th February there was a guerilla artshow in Barclays Bank in Headington which included work from Martin Smith, Clare Goodhall, Mark Bryant, Jean Wykes, Ross Mackenzie, David Jones and Naomi Goldsmith.  Thank you to everyone who stopped to talk with us, and particularly to the bank staff for making us feel at home.

There will be another chance to see art in Barclays Bank on Monday 24th March.

Naomi Goldsmith

Naomi is part of the Artweeks Group at Cornerstone Church on Quarry High Street.

The aim of the exhibition is to capture, using modern day media, the atmosphere of splendour created in the early Christian church, by paintings and stained glass windows. These were used to tell the story of the gospel and to raise the hearts and minds of the congregation and the community to the spiritual and to help them imagine the glories of God and heaven.

The church invites you to contemplate the beauty of spirituality with an exhibition of large oil/acrylic paintings by Naomi Goldsmith and a heart lifting stained glass effect project created by the Oxford Christian School and members of the congregation.
